Another beautiful piece in Whitby Jet and Sterling Silver that's handmade as always. This piece features an engraving of a lady who mourns her partner and serves as a potent reminder that life is precious, short and fragile. In addition it bears a latin saying on the back - Memento Mori - remember that you will perish. I dont feel this saying was ever meant in a morbid way but to serve as a reminder that we should love with all we have, remember to live, not waste the days and truly make something of life for soon it will be all gone. As I get older the days seem ever fleeting and the despair and hopelessness of my soul ever increasing with it. One of the few places I find solace is on the beaches, a mind silenced by the sea and with the added bonus of finding the treasure I make these very pieces with... I'll let you decided whether these are dark pieces or not..
